We here at Rackham Choir are excited to be back singing together for the 22-23 season, enjoying exploring new pieces in new places with new collaborators. ANNOUNCING OUR FALL EVENT!


On Saturday, November 5, 2022 Rackham Choir will join forces with the Midland Symphony Orchestra and the Choirs of the Midland Center of the Arts, alongside Wayne State Choirs, to perform one of the most significant choral orchestral masterworks ever written, Mozart’s Requiem.  This fascinating and emotionally stirring piece will be the climax of an evening that opens with a new commission by the Midland Symphony as part of the New Music for America consortium, featuring a new work by Pulitzer Prize and double Grammy-winning composer, Jennifer Higdon.  Tickets starting at $26.50* and students are $5*

Rackham Choir has recently concluded their High School Intern Audition process and are pleased to announce the following vocal interns that will be joining the Rackham Choir for the 2022 – 2023 season: 

The internship program is funded solely through donations, including those gathered at the showcase, and a major grant from The Village Club Foundation.

Rackham Choir Spring Concerts

Join Rackham Choir, William S. Harrison Chorale, Cody High School Women’s Ensemble, Rooted, and the Songs of Freedom Orchestra, under the baton of William S. Harrison, Sr. to celebrate Black History Month with a sacred symphonic choral concert featuring Sacred Music of African American composers.

The event is sponsored by the Office of Black Catholic Ministry, Archdiocese of Detroit.

Saturday February 25, 6:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Basilica, 1000 Saint Anne St., Detroit, MI 48216. There is NO CHARGE for this concert.

“Rising to the Top” Saturday, May 27, 1:00 p.m.

This year’s High School Vocal Intern Program Showcase is held at First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak and will feature Rackham Choir’s four students this season: Chloe Debulois, Farmington High School, Brendan Lockhart, Waterford Mott High, Baleigh Smith, Detroit School of Arts and Anna Schultz, Cranbrook High School. Stay tuned for more about these talented young singers.
