Our Education Outreach

Rackham Choir recognizes that education is key in helping to further music and performance in our communities. We recognize an ever greater importance for local community organizations to take active part in this education process. We believe our work as educators for students and young people is as important as our work as performers and artists.

The Rackham Choir Vocal High School Internship Program has supported students over many years and helped to open many career paths for young musicians.

Both our main Staff and our Volunteers are active Educators and Coordinators.

Students are able to enjoy their music education alongside and with the support of their fellow choir members creating a vibrant choir community of both seasoned and young participants of all ages and experience levels.

The High School Vocal Internship Program

Rackham Choir has created a unique learning opportunity for young students who find themselves at High School and during their formative years of musical growth. Rackham is proud to offer the opportunity to support four to five High School students each year as part of the Rackham Choir High School Vocal Internship Program.

The Program is designed to support students with exceptional vocal talent and commitment who are entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school in Fall 2024 and who aspire to study music, musical theater, or music education in college.

We are grateful to the generous support from the Loraine & Melinese Reuter Foundation and the Village Club Foundation.
