Featuring Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings

Voices of Light combines the magic of classic cinema with the drama and power of an 80-member choir, nationally acclaimed soloists, and a 30-piece orchestra of the region’s finest musicians. Rackham Choir is proud to perform in partnership with the Friends of the Detroit Film Theatre.

Written to accompany Carl Dreyer’s 1928 silent film, The Passion of Joan of Arc, composer Richard Einhorn’s Voices of Light has been hailed as “a thrilling celebration of female spirituality and heroism.”

The performances will take place in the Detroit Institute of Arts' beautifully restored Auditorium, home of the Detroit Film Theatre.

Tickets are available online, or by calling the DIA Box Office at 313 833 4005, Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Box Office and will call ticket window opens one hour prior to the start of the show.
